    Orwell and Bradbury were afraid no one would be allowed to read a book. Huxley was afraid no one would want to.

    Whatsapp groups? The author just spent an entire essay arguing against social media, and then says that we ought to prioritize interacting with people over social media? I don't think that this was well-considered.

    It's easy to live life without social media, and only a little bit harder to live without a smartphone. Worth attempting, in any case.
