This is neat. Without any pictures I felt closer to these people than if I saw their mugshot.

    Hopefully this has legs.

A few keywords and a few sentences take us from facing someone, to seeing life from their own eyes and pondering. There is power in that.

The Natalist stuff in the faq is super weird. The faq is full of jokes so maybe I just didn’t get that one, but it creeped me out.

That they’re natalist, or that they’re unabashedly open about it?

Personally I don’t see anything wrong about wanting to add more people to the world, but I’d probably phrase it a little differently.

It's weird that they would be so unabashedly open about it, on a dating app they made, right in the FAQ. Singling this one belief out, and not mentioning consequences for the app (nor denial of consequences), leads one to ponder several obvious subtexts.

Technological utopians have a well-earned reputation of leaning toward the Machiavellian. If making babies is mankind's first priority, that means many other values are of a lower priority.

When I was dating, I didn't put much stock in photos, either. The purpose of the app seems reasonable, but the title and slogan makes it smack of sour grapes, IMO. The unedited AI generated celebrity tiles is also quite conspicuous.
