For profit health insurance is a criminal enterprise by definition. They decide who they can kill to save money.

This investigation is about them defrauding the government, not their customers.

Them (allegedly) having it both ways is very cynical, but entirely predictable. It's utterly amazing someone believed a service like health-care should be driven by profit to ensure the best outcomes.

Propaganda is helluva drug. Some people really believe a profit-driven marketplace is the only way to do anything well.

Replace healthcare with literally any public service and you start to get pretty close to the fundamental reasons why America is so broken.

Nobody will be going to jail for this. Corporations are people - until accountability comes up.

Fraud is pretty typically punished with jail, so I'm not sure. Will be interesting to watch what happens. I worked there and I really cannot overstate the level of grift operating at all levels. Not all there are bad but holy moly cow!
