Great question! It really depends on how you operate. When I'm working on a project I typically have a dedicated window for it with only a few splits (e.g. neovim, a watch, an agent, etc). This tool will aggregate splits across all windows.

You are not mistaken - the session selector shows the overview of all windows from given session. Very similar, but not full screen
I must be missing something here that this addresses something just pane splitting doesn't...?
