If I recall all threads are closed for new comments after 14 days, it's not specific to "Who wants to be hired?"
Realistically the job threads get eyeballs only the first few days, they're often not even on the frontpage for half a day.
Please read the guidelines[0] and FAQ[1]:

I question the wisdom of this limitation in monthly recurring threads. I think it should be special-cased for those specific instances.
