    No exit management, no succession clause, no published spec.

    By the time the second contract rolls around the switching costs are so high that the incumbent basically names their price. This isn't a Palantir problem specifically, this (or a different colour of this) happens every time a department awards a no-compete initial contract without building in the exit ramp

    I hate it when people obfuscate the fact that organizations are not individual entities. Someone, or a group of people, decided to do this, not some faceless org. Some had to greenlight this.
