I didn't think I could envy Americans something.
But they get a report and an incident status.
While we in the UK get business as usual and the millions (not exaggerating) of hours of routine untreated sewage spill out straight into rivers and lakes mostly completely unpunished : https://www.wokingnewsandmail.co.uk/news/environment-news/fi...
Caused by the privatisation (thanks to the Tory party of the time) then willful neglect from all the subsequent governments, AND the rotating doors (ie: corruption) between the "oversight" bodies and the excrement industry.
