I think there is near 100% chance that humans will destroy the planet, or more accurately we'll destroy humankind - the planet will long outlive humans and will probably "heal" itself to some degree after we're gone. The idea that we'll solve climate change seems like such an improbable long shot.

Unfortunately on a capitalistic society money and greed speaks higher than the higher good.

In the end we will be the actual Atlantis.

This seems the clearest signal that Apple is serious about bringing back manufacturing.

My hot take is that humans are, in aggregate, wholly incapable of controlling themselves when it comes to burning every scrap of energy available. As soon as these corporate efforts hit the slightest bit of friction, they are quietly snuffed out.

Humanity is essentially a fire that is burning its available resources, something it has no choice but to do. The only difference between humanity and basic fire is that humanity is cursed to be aware of what it's destroying, and can fear the day that the conditions allowing it to exist come to an end.

Remember how Apple made a big ad about Mother Nature ad.

Yup, it was merely to tug heart strings to sell phones.

    Disappointing from Apple.
