Doubtless the current LLMs aren't the last word. But this author sounds like they would get more out of the current LLMs if they put their energies into that rather than into criticism.
The subject matter of this article is interesting, but the article feels AI-written, and is exhausting to read for me.
I'd rather read the prompt used to generate the article.
reading this article reminded me of a couple of quotes:

And paraphrasing another "it would be silly to say that airplanes can't fly because they don't flap their wings like birds"
