Manus started in China, and China is doing this even though they moved their operations to Singapore. This sounds like a message to Chinese founders not to build their companies in China.

Please explain how China has any power to block this ? Company is in Singapore. Do what ? CCP to kidnap founders family members still in China, which would not surprise me.

When the US says something is illegal, at times, it cannot enforce it as the actors are beyond its reach. If or when, those actors step onto US soil or a country with an extradition agreement with the US, then they will be arrested and tried.

Unless you have evidence that family members are threatened or arrested m, please don’t make comments like that. It’s not useful for the discussion here.

I wish EU could resist big tech international finance with the same strength.

But corruption may let it happen anyway, with a bit more covolution and internationalization.

It's something worse than corruption, it's primarily fear and cowardice.

you mean they were explicitely threaten? If so they should go public about it.

It doesn't have to be explicit.

          > If so they should go public about it.

          See "fear and cowardice".
