I think one danger with cosmologies like this is there’s an aspect to them where people could become mistakenly convinced of their own powerlessness as a way to explain in grand terms personal failings. Which could then risk becoming a self fulfilling prophecy, and misroute energy they could put towards improving themselves into instead further developing the narrative architecture of that kind of cosmos. A common but not fatal trapped fall into that occurs in various forms, including in various political ideologies (For obvious reasons I suppose).
In some sense, these kind of “mass disempowerment except for an elite Evil few” kind of narratives could produce the kind of psychological subjugation effects that the villains of these narratives, were they real, would want people to have, all without needing to exist.
Antidotes and counter narratives might be found in various forms. One such example could be the idea that you create your own reality with your beliefs. Such as the channeled material by Jane Roberts of “Seth speaks”, and other manifesting notions which are now current. More prosaically the ideas of individual effort, responsibility, and integrity perhaps related to “stoic” philosophies might also assist in resistance or recovery from these kind of compelling, but disempowering, narrative architectures.

When I was in high school (decades ago) I had “cartoonish” dreams in the back of my mind which later during my real life experiences came true! I only remembered and was able to interpret those childhood fantasies after they did.
