    In case anyone is interested in just the lyrics:

    I was totin' my patch, for some crufty old Perl code When along came a maintainer, just as soon as I hit upload If you're contributing to CPAN, Mack, you can have my code review And so I typed him my reply, and he put me in the queue He asked me if I'd seen much code with so much cruft and glue And I said, listen, I've hacked in every language hitherto

    I've seen every lang, man I've seen every lang, man Typed many a shebang, man A few lines have I yanked, man Of bugs, I've felt the pain, man I've seen every lang

    I've hacked in...

    A-0, B, C, C#, C with Classes SQL, CSS, HolyC, a little Racket C++, D, E, F, and F# FP, J#, Q#, a bit of Dart XSLT, Web Assembly VB.NET and PHP, set me free!

    Limbo, Lingo, Lustre, Haskell Lasso, Lucid, Lua, Pascal Go, and Logo, Mojo, Gödel Prolog, Erlang, Eiffel, Opal Euclid, Euler, Forth and Swift Common Lisp, I can't resist

    CoffeeScript, ECMAScript, JScript, Java JavaScript, LiveScript, PostScript, Scala PureScript, ReScript, TypeScript, Julia ActionScript, Vim script, Modula, Simula SNOBOL, SPITBOL, COMAL, and COBOL COMTRAN, FORTRAN, ALGOL, I've seen 'em all

    Object Pascal, Objective-C Elixir, Solidity Snap!, Squeak, Scratch, and Spark, and Scheme Lean, TeX, Wolfram, Processing SuperCollider, Clojure, Groovy Pure Data, Brainfuck, Ruby, way to be

    BCPL, GLSL HTML, R, and ML Nim, Jai, Zig, Rust, Ada, Smalltalk BASIC, Bash, and a bit too much AWK Dylan, Kotlin, Odin, Python 2 Sed, OCaml, jq, nothing new

    Good day HN. This is the first time I've made something I thought worthy of sharing in a place like this.

    So, I have passable guitar skills, and passable programming skills, and sometimes I can't help myself when it comes to off-the-wall side projects.

    Anyways, the other day I was listening to the Johnny Cash version, and I thought, huh, we (the royal "we" at least) could use a modification of this classic song using programming languages.

    If anyone is aware of someone else doing this concept I'd love to hear about it!
