What worries me more is that US military bases become chemically toxic superfund hellholes. They will most certainly destroy the surrounding environment and water permanently with many toxins, not limited to PFAS. Greenland cannot escape it.

I'm just speculating here but the Greenland expansion was likely in the works for a while but once Trump heard about it, he ham fists the entire diplomatic process by threatening force. Maybe the process was going too slow for his liking or maybe he was just high on the fumes of burning boats in the Caribbean but regardless, he harmed national security and the defensive posture of NATO because he's too dumb to just follow established procedures.

Remind me again, why do we need a toddler in the white house?

      My underinformed take.

The American economy and larger global investment market/rigging is ...speculative and a sham. And it's no longer the 80's/90s, the US is falling behind in most emerging fields of science, standards of living, political freedom etc.

Worse, we all take part in it with employment, 401k etc.

So....who better to distract everyone from that stark reality, than a reality TV criminal! He's perfectly equipped to stir up tension over....erm...greenland....to distract from the obvious (multiple) crashes coming.

Thiel wanted a toy so he got one. This is how extreme wealth works. You absolutely need a grown up for the current situation but seems the Buyers are more powerful than the interest of the Republic. Cheers!
