    Great read, and impressive feat!

"Despite the distance, I could tell when bombs dropped. A big ‘KABOOM’ could be heard underwater, followed by shockwaves in the water. When the first blast occurred, I had just run into a playful pod of dolphins. It’s always amazing to swim with these remarkable creatures and I sense they feel the same. Every time we heard a ‘KABOOM’, the protective dolphins surrounded me and nudged me forward."

So ehm... what did you (HN reader) do today? lol

Seems totally plausible tho. I've read multiple stories where dolphins seem to enjoy swimming in ships' bow waves, and generally being curious & playful creatures. So inspecting a rare human who dared venture into their habitat, escorting her... why not? Perhaps they even understood she was underway to cross the strait, and/or wanted to see her make it back to shore. Who knows.

What the fuck? That reads like fiction. Drones hovering? Bombs dropping? Dolphins giving her a boost?
