Yeah, and they also write books, putting each word themselves.. instead of just pointing at a symbol for what type of story they want to be told.
Why assume they will have a concept of or interest in the past, or even access to it and any remaining artifacts, at all? For what?
This is being optimistic that modern civilisation will last that long.
