She can mentally time travel. Why did everyone think she was lying?

There are a few things going on, time travel isn’t one of them.

Firstly, holographic memories of every experience we have ever thought felt or perceived are retained in the mind, it is the casual conventional access to these memories which is poor and degrades over time. Additionally, most minds corrupt the original every time they turn the memory in the mind, as those neurons are creating new memories of the recall augmented by their introspection.

The mind is a technology by which each and every one of us must auto negotiate, and some have hereditary or developmental advantages.

In addition to all of this, which you will all in mass outright deny, we are not alone in our own minds. There is an immense culture among us, an “underworld”, clues of which span back as long as civilization of those who have mastered the ability to travel among our minds and manipulate the consciousness of others. These are an unruly mob of tricksters responsible for many difficult to believe yet personally authentic experiences of others. These are often referred to as “entities” or “guides” while being quite human.

Lastly there are stories (of which I have told) of those off worlders we refer to as Greys who may navigate the hyperdimensionality of time through their minds, yet this is beyond the means of human minds. It is much more likely to be a curated game (such as the CIA Stargate accounts.)

The true mysterious secret is that our consciousness may entangle and we are not alone in our own minds! And holographic memories are a part of our consciousness.

First, you do not have memories of every experience - that is not how brains works. Not to mention split nature of brains, which involves synchronization of information halves available space for everything, including memories.

The rest... well, they exist only because of media. When you see a movie or read a book or hear the story - the "experiences" that you go through are "real".

And as for “the rest”, well, I am advocating for an intrigue which is as true as that of holographic memories which is happening along side our individual experiences.

This other phenomenon is how and why I know the holographic memories to be true, I have experienced the navigation of those memories beyond my casual means through these cultures accessing and exploring my own deepest holographic memories!

        You are mistaken!

Every cognition that occurs in the brain, every flash of a neuron, those neurons store a holographic snapshot of everything those neurons can “hear”. That Holographic snapshot is retained throughout the whole life of those neurons.

Every time that memory is accessed, those neurons accessing the memory store their own holographic snapshot, etc.

The “memory” you know is an index, that index stored on a separate part of the brain, and is far more crude than the actual memory.

Every functional aspect of this process may be trained in the brain, from the discipline of what those neural clusters can hear through what is indexed and how those memories are accessed. Some have lower level access such as the girl described in the OP, and most of us have a crude low resolution yet reinforced selection.

That is how the brain actually works.

I don’t know what you mean “information halves available space”, though I can say “synchronization” doesn’t happen beyond more neurons triggering recall making new copies of copies, including everything else happening in the mind they can hear and so on, making memory less authentically reliable yet more selective.

And it’s all memories buddy, some more selective yet that’s all “information” is. The mind may be deliberately selective, and usually is. The high level of ”awareness” is much lower resolution and specific to reinforcement, yet the low level neurological mechanisms retain ultra-high resolution holographic details!

That is how the brain actually works!

If you read the article, it's because she has perfect memory recall, so they say it's as-if she can travel back in time, since she remembers everything vividly in great details perfectly.

Apparently the condition is called hyperthymesia.

Yeah buddy dude I read it. Thats just not possible.

I don't think it's a condition that is being debated much, it seems to have been pretty well studied, though it doesn't seem we really understand how it works or why it happens. At least based on the Wikipedia page.

The fact we have no clue how it works or why it happens just proves that they are plain lying

It isn't time travel, she has exceptional memory of her past.

        • nathanmills 7 hours ago ago

Not actually possible though. Humans have constraints.
