Just checked my receipt and I paid $689 CAD for my OLED 512GB. Current price is $1,129 CAD. Almost doubled, damn.

You can buy a gaming PC and dual monitors etc. for less.
Is that actually true or was it true when the Steam Deck also had a lower price?
Buy the cheapest one and upgrade the ssd…

Prices have been a little weird lately. After a quick check on Newegg I'm seeing prices:
16GB of RAM - $250
Low-Mid GPU - $700
1TB SSD - $250
Not in the year 2026 you can't.
That sounds infinitely less portable
