CEO does not want their job to be replaced by AI. Everyone else's? That is up for grabs and under good governance would be criminal not to do because cost savings.

The invention of modern day CEO will always be celebrated throughout history, such a gift to the world.

Mere mortals can only aspire to this blissful and perfect alignment between normative stance and immediate self-interest.

BLKNSLVR says people don't want Sam Altman to speak for them.

I also didn't consent to this man speaking on my behalf.

Sam needs to figure out what consent is some day. Maybe he'll figure it out once he gets put in prison for what he's done quite a few times over.

"people" == CEOs that I'm busy selling to

the Kings of Europe also believed they could never be replaced, either

No, I think a CEO is one of the singular roles an AI is explicitly well suited for

AI can already write like CEOs, so they can replace the communication elements of their jobs.

The robotic CEOs think we would notice if they were replaced by machines?

But how will we ensure human CEOs are properly aligned? We can't fine tune them, inspect their internals, or repeatedly assess their behavior in isolated containers.

    ...can we?

You'd need quite large containers. I should think at least a metre cube, unless you can test just the head in isolation. Which would also be a guard against container escape.

"We'll replace everyone's job but mine, because the human element is important!"

Of course... the day you can prompt "generate profits, make no mistake" and it works, it instantly stops working.

For all its faults, AI is still not sociopathic enough to be CEO
