Torturous metaphor that doesn't actually explain macros.
I'd posit that this is just as good as every programmer koan or story from esr's The New Hackers Dictionary
It reminds me of the "The Salvation of Doug" and its rebuttal "The Demise of Bill" that are often used to illustrate the differences in philosophy between genetics and biochemistry even when they are used to analyze the same system.
