I'm a life long vim user, and I love Emacs w/evil mode. There's something about hacking in elisp on the editor that you're using to do the hacking, that just makes me fall in love with programming again. I'm not joking when I say this, but one of the activities I look forward to when I'm retired is hacking on Emacs.
Thanks to those who continue to make these Emacs releases happen.
*** Grep results can be edited to reflect changes in the originating file.
Like Occur Edit mode, typing 'e' in the "*grep*" buffer will now make the 'grep' results editable. The edits will be reflected in buffers visiting the originating files. Typing 'C-c C-c' will leave the Grep Edit mode.
I tried to use Vim once, and found that none of the Emacs keybindings worked there. Seriously, learning x86 assembly language is easier than trying to grasp that INSANELY bad keyboard layout.
You probably won't believe it, it's crazy, I swear, but can you imagine? Turns out it's possible to re-map any key in Emacs. How the fuck only a few people know about this? It's unbelievable. Some kind of Emacs conspiracy, amiright? What's next? I find out that it is possible to change fonts and colors too? That's just complete bananas.

Emacs is so bad
It has zero intuitive key bindings.
Also i swear that ctrl/tab/shift/alt should be kinda mapped opposite. This editor should be used only with Space-cadet keyboard from 70,80....
Seriously - learning 6502 assembly is easier than to graap those INSANELY bad keyboard layout.

Conspiracy is correct. They named it Editor MACroS, hiding the true name Escape-Meta-Alt-Control-Shift.
Emacs is SO bad,
That when I tried it, I was reading the best way to use it is to install plugins to make emacs behaves just like VIM.
