math problems are fun, but solving maths in itself doesnt really do anything perse. there are math problems sure, but its more interesting to solve problems using maths, which i think is a better question. is it needed still to learn maths or are llms able to _apply_ it to problema. if they cant apply it they can also not solve it in your wording simply because not all problems will be known.
i know some maths problems are just that, problems in maths unsolved as a mathematical excersize, but a lot are problems attempted to by soles _using_ math which is different and imho the goal/idea of maths. describe something meaningful in a logical language.
