This is cool, but I have to admit that I clicked on this because I thought that the Qt GUI framework had some weird post-quantum stuff and I was curious what the hell that even meant.

Of all the names, this is pretty awful. Qt has been around for decades (1990!!!) and the first thought of many is that it is a cross-platform C++ GUI framework that's still around to date. In fact, so much so, that an entire Linux Desktop environment (multiple actually!) are built around Qt itself, namely KDE, one of the most prominent Linux Desktop environments.

Sigh. People please google your project name before naming it, and stop naming things as names that are a pain to google. I tire of having to type Golang, or Rustlang (sometimes Rust - the game shows up!) its getting ridiculous.

How do you expect them to be able to find anything on Google or any search engine these days? All you get, even for the simplest queries is SEO keyword stuffed LLM slop no one bothered to review before publishing. And then the AI summary for the search results gobbles all that shite up and vomits it back out at you.

With all that, not knowing that Qt has already been a thing for over 3 decades is not so surprising. We’re basically erasing our knowledge and our history at an unprecedented pace with this fucking bullshit.

P.S: I’m a little drunk and angry as I’m writing this.
