I usually get huge amount down votes when I say the same thing. I keep saying that forcing kids into pressure cooker to study hard to get good grade is worthless at the end and these fancy test score comparisons are even more worthless because most people will forget it all. This is the first study that I am looking at that confirms my belief. Just look at table-1.. Within few months 80% of is forgotten, never mind years.

To add something that this study is not looking at, some of the courses on the higher grades exceed what some universities were teaching decades ago; I know because years ago, I extracted whatever old textbooks online and looked at them. Some of them were pedantic by current standards. Exams too. All these effort and the end was it worth it at all.

Sooner or later, it would completely worthless effort in terms of financial gain from knowledge..
