Very cool. People with hate lose the joy.

An electric flying car demonstrated a beautiful landing.

The technology is not entirely absent from our present reality but was harnessed into a new configuration allowing this. The vision and will to see it happen is what amazes me.

That was cool for about 2 seconds then I started wondering 1) if that would ever be legal anywhere on earth, and 2) why this even exists.

    The design is nice, though.

Seems like a lot of Tesla or electric car fans would prefer faster charging and more charging stations.

Cant fault persuing the dream. And in this case there will be a huge number of people who have partisipated and been able to stretch and flex skills ,ideas , capabilities, way way out on the bleeding edge. The great great grandaddy of the tesla is this, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_bedstead which was flown under full manual controll, and is still very likely the highest power to weight ratio thing ever flown that way, there bieng nothing but engine, controls, and a seat, and will also very likely remain that way, unless someone goes nuts with a full on manual control ,rocket powered hover/flying rig. The tesla will of course still be subject to any number of spectacular failure modes, and all in all the new 'delorian' speedster will be capable of producing an experience closer to what people are dreaming about in the first place. Though the truth is that a cesna 150 will get you 90%(or more) of the way there, and you can build a ratrod 150 for 20k. The same rule applys to ALL, every take off is optional, none of the landings are.

They 100% did this so they could keep the 0-60 in 1 second promise, and I love it
