Warning: Auto-playing video! (Thought I had that turned off in Firefox, but looks like I had done that just on Youtube. At full volume, it gave me quite a jolt)

SpaceX is now GAAP profitable, and based on the current S&P 500 inclusion criteria & the rate of profit growth, they should be eligible for S&P 500 inclusion starting June 2027.

"SpaceX revenue soars 161% as AI business grows"

No mention of Starlink in the title. Is the revenue growth attributable to "AI" growth

"The surge in revenue was owed in large part to a significant expansion of the company's businesses centered on artificial intelligence and Starlink, a satellite internet service, the earnings showed."

    "... and Starlink..."

And then, reading a little further...

"Starlink, the main driver of the company's profits, received attention from investors ahead of the release."

Perhaps it's the _only_ driver of the company's profits

Arguably "AI" spending (losses) is diminishing profits

HN commenters frequently argue that the titles from media outlets can be misleading

    Perhaps this one qualifies

That thing is called SI now. Maybe AI means Aerospace Internet.

      Astronaut Internet?

They have no competition. Wonder how this will change in 2027 when Kupier launches.
