This letter is less about the state of Israel, and more about the Israeli freedom party, the predecessor of today's Likud party headed by Netanyahu.

And it's today still about the Likud.

Time and again I'm amazed how well Einstein's opinions and predictions have aged, whether in physics or politics. Of course there's probably some survivorship bias involved, as we're more likely to hear about his successes than mistakes.

In keeping with your survivorship bias comment, a terrible prediction and opinion he held was that socialism was the right social system for human societies. And he thought the US should halt nuclear weapon development, while the USSR was moving towards it at full steam.

About socialism I suggest you to wait 100 years to check if your opinion is right. If Einstein had a prediction that doesn’t mean that this prediction was going to happen in the next 50 years.

If AI is going to really replace human labor I see socialism as a possibility. For sure if AI is going to replace everyone we will not live in capitalist economy

The founder of that party was Menachem Begin, who signed a lasting peace with Egypt (despite Carters attempts to undermine it) and also won a Nobel Peace prize. He is also the inspiration for the Magneto character from X-men comics.
